Orange County Jewelers That Carry a Great Selection of Men's Wedding Bands

Sometimes it's hard to find a jewelry company that carries a good selection of men's wedding bands. Most jewelry companies carry a huge selection of women's wedding rings and engagement rings (not that I'm complaining...because I AM a woman and I love jewelry), but it's nice to see somebody pay attention to the wonderful guys out there, too!

I found these great Orange County jewelers that carries a fantastic men's line. They have every style under the sun including two-toned, classic, alternative and traditional. Simone and Son even specializes in the design and creation of custom designed rings if you can't find exactly what you are looking for. And if you're looking for a ring for a woman, check out their women's line...it's great!

If you or somebody you know is planning a wedding and looking for some rings, check it out!

Blackout Curtains for the Man Cave

You probably all know by now how much time and effort was put into the man cave we created in our basement. It took many long hours but I am so glad we finally have a place that he can hang out with the guys and watch all of his favorite sports on TV as well as a hangout for games like poker, pool, and darts.

Last week, he installed a surround sound system in the Man Cave to really intensify the effect of the TV. It sounds like a movie theater down there now! I thought it would only be fitting to replace the curtains that were down there with this blackout curtains. Not only do they block 99% of outside light from getting in, but they also block 40% of unwanted noise and save up to 25% on heating and cooling costs. These will help make the Man Cave super dark for the ultimate movie and television viewing experience.

Lunch Pot Storage Container

My guy loves when I make him lunches to bring to work. All of the guys joke around about who has the best lunch and who's lady loves them best and yada, yada, yada... It also saves a ton of money when I pack him a lunch versus when he goes out and buys something to bring back to work. It also takes more time out of his workday.

I always pack his lunch the night before and put it in the fridge with a little note on it. He enjoys seeing what I pack for him and really appreciates it.

I found this great lunch pot storage container and ordered two of them this morning. This makes for the perfect lunch container because you can divide up the compartments but carry them all together. It comes with a nifty SPORK (a spoon mixed with a fork) so you are able to eat a variety of foods.

This would make a fantastic Father's Day gift!

A Powerful Handheld Vacuum for His Car

My guy is a bit of a clean freak. I really like this, because it means that my workload at the house is greatly reduced. I'm really glad he appreciates a nice, clean house and he puts the work in to achieve this.

He is always going through the carwash, cleaning out his office, doing deep-cleaning in the camper and boat, and more. I found this handheld vacuum and I instantly knew I had to get it for him. This is a 500-watt vacuum that weighs only 3 pounds and delivers a ton of power. This has a replaceable paper dust bag that can also be re-used. It comes with several attachments, and it has a 12 foot cord that eliminates the need for an extension cord.

He's going to love this!

Wow Him With 2013 Topps Baseball Cards

The best gifts are those that are unexpected, at least that's my take. Receiving a gift on your birthday, Christmas or anniversary is sweet but it's those gifts that are given on random days that mean the most. To keep the romance and companionship between myself and my partner I like to give little surprise gifts. Usually, when my man is least expecting it! It keeps things fun, interesting and exciting.

I'm not saying that you need to spend an arm and a leg on a surprise gift. A little something like his favorite candy, an iPhone cover he's been wanting or in my case, 2013 Topps Baseball Cards (yes he's a grown up!)  mean the most. It's the little things that count and it makes it special when you specialize the gifts to cater to his wants and interests. What do you think ladies? Do you do the same?

Retirement Gift

My uncle is finishing up his last few weeks at his job. He is retiring! How exciting. I bet it feels so good to have put in several years working for a company. What a sense of accomplishment he must have!
Now he will have time now do relax, enjoy, and do the things he loves best. He and my aunt with be traveling and trying new pastimes.
One of the new things they want to try is cooking and wine tasting. Since they have time to travel now, they want to learn more about the wines and visit some great vineyards around the country.
I found the perfect gift for him. It's a Wine Lover's Suitcase Trio. In it, are three bottles of fine wine along with the best gourmet snacks and food to accompany and compliment the wines. It's perfect that it comes with a suitcase--he will be able to use it for their travels.

A Garden Caddy My Dad is Going to Love

My father has loved gardening for as long as I can remember. He's always spent the majority of his days in the Spring planning out and planting his garden. He always draws maps and diagrams of the best way to get the most usage out of the space. My dad would spend his Summer tending the garden: weeding, watering, and taking care of the growing vegetables and fruits. Throughout the Summer, he would pick different vegetables when they were ripe and we would have fresh vegetables for supper almost every night with our meal.

He still enjoys gardening, and has is garden all planned out for the year. This garden caddy would make a fantastic addition to his hobby and I know he's going to love it for Father's Day this year. This will reduce the amount of bending down that he has to do and will be so much more comfortable!

The Way to a Man's Heart...

Lately, my guy and I have been watching a ton of Duck Dynasty on the A & E Channel. We watch it every Wednesday evening (when the new episodes are aired) and watch re-runs from our DVR in between. It's a show that we both love and for once, something that we seem to have in common. They say opposites attract, right?

Anyway...watching how Miss Kay and the ladies are always cooking up something amazing in the kitchen, it inspired me to try out some new recipes in my own kitchen. The first place I went to in order to start my search was of course, Pinterest. I found this cookie/brownie combo recipe and knew that I had to try it right away. Alex and I ate them all! They turned out GREAT. They say a way to a man's heart is through his stomach...I think I'm in! :)

Simply use your favorite brownie recipe and favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. A scoop of brownie batter at the bottom of a greased muffin tin and top it off with a scoop of cookie batter. Bake until toothpick comes out clean. YUM!
