My dad loves the Beatles. They are his favorite band of all time! He has every single CD by the Beatles and he listens to them constantly. I have so many memories of being little and going on road trips with my family. We would go camping by the Grand Canyon or Yellowstone National Park and listen to the Beatles pretty much the whole way! Of course, this were cassette tapes back then... :) I think I've grown to love them almost as much because I know all of their music by heart. Top of the Line Ball Screw

My guy is very hands on and good at what he does. He likes to teach me about new and different things that they do at his job. Last night, he couldn't stop talking about what they got accomplished in meetings this last week. They ordered a large quantity of ball screws from SMI (Specialty Motions, INC). 

He taught me a little bit about ball screws, too, since I had no idea what they were used for! A ball screw is a type of linear actuator. It is a type of tool that translated rotational motion to linear motion. It is able to withstand high thrust loads with minimal internal friction. These are perfect for situations in which high precision is necessary. An example of this is power steering in an automobile, which involves the translation of rotary motion from a motor to axial motion of the steering rack.

Football Season is Starting!

Fall is just around the corner which means that football season has already started! When I think of fall, I think of Sunday games, Monday night football, tailgaiting, great food, and fun times with football. The NFL has a lot of great teams and we always have fun cheering on our favorite team when they play. They are just starting in on some preseason games and I can't wait to get the season in full swing!

To get ready for the season, I got my man a Tom Brady jersey. Kohl's is having a lot of great sales right now and I snagged a deal for 15% off! They also have a ton of tailgaiting gear (coolers, games, and more) as well as other gear for the home and office.

It won't be too long yet before our Sunday tradition will including throwing on some jerseys and making some great snack food to have some friends over and cheer on the Patriots!
